Terms of Use

Welcome to ChatBase (the "Service"), available at chatbase.space. By creating an account, signing in as a guest or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Rules and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use ChatBase.

1. Who can use ChatBase

• You must be at least 13 years old. If we learn that someone is younger, we will close their account.
• If you are under the age of majority where you live (usually 18), you confirm that a parent or guardian is okay with you using ChatBase.
• You must give accurate information when you register, such as your age.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for what happens under it. Keep your password private and do not share your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access. You may have only one account unless a staff member allows more.

3. Following the Rules

You agree to follow the ChatBase Rules at all times. Do not use the Service to harass others, share inappropriate or illegal content, spam, break the law, or try to damage or get around the Service, its security or its moderation.

4. Content you share

• You own the messages, pictures, music and other content you share, and you are responsible for it.
• You give ChatBase permission to host, store, display and deliver that content so the Service can work, for example showing your messages in a room or your song on your profile.
• Only share content you have the right to share. Do not upload things that belong to someone else without permission.
• Public rooms and profiles can be seen by other members. Think before you share.

5. Moderation

Our staff may review reported content and conversations, remove content, and warn, mute, kick or ban accounts or connections to keep ChatBase safe. We may also act if we believe someone is at risk. Our decisions are made in good faith, and you can contact us if you think a mistake was made.

6. Gold, Rubies and other virtual items

ChatBase may offer virtual items such as Gold and Rubies. They are only for use inside ChatBase, have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and may be changed, reset or removed if they are misused or if the Service changes. Some features, such as adding profile music, may cost virtual items if the owner turns that on.

7. Calls and private messages

You are responsible for what you say and share in private messages and calls. Do not record, copy or share other people's private conversations without their permission.

8. Availability

ChatBase is provided free of charge and "as is". We try to keep it running smoothly, but we cannot promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that content will never be lost. We may change, pause or stop parts of the Service at any time.

9. Ending your access

You can stop using ChatBase and close your account from your profile settings at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these Terms or the Rules, or to protect the Service and its members.

10. Limits of our responsibility

ChatBase is a community of real people, and we cannot control everything they say or do. To the extent allowed by law, ChatBase and its owner are not responsible for content posted by members, for interactions between members, or for losses that result from using the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date below. Continuing to use ChatBase after a change means you accept the new Terms.
